I'll just be unpopular here and say that the 2000 version with Ethan Hawke is underrated because Julia Stiles did more interesting things with Ophelia than Kate Winslet did. But as Kevin Kline said when asked about his Hamlet vs. Branagh's: "Ken's is much longer, and it's uncut."
