It's not that it's not genuine - I think it's very charming and there's a lot of love here! It's just done a disservice by not having its own identity. I'm not going to think back about the world and characters at all, because it's just sony branding.
I think this is really true. I really enjoyed the game but kept thinking "what if this had actual characters/worlds I could get invested in, instead of just Sony branding". It makes everything feel a bit hollow even though it's otherwise very charming bsky.app/profile/mcco...
