GDDs are probably a bit of an outdated tool these days where development is much more iterative. I find a short one (5 pages or less) good in the prototype stage to get the team aligned on the idea, then prefer individual wiki-style pages per feature once we enter pre-production.
Totally agree, GDDs can be a bit old-school. Thanks for the advice.
