I do understand all your points - but I don’t think it’ll ever pass in its current format. My suggestion was simply to make it more palatable for HofC in order to pass into legislation. Poverty rate amongst senior women is around 14%. Other than that segment, this is a more well off grp than most

Cdns, in general. Compare that to 17% unemployment rate amongst youth (under 29), rent unaffordability being very high as well, for them, it’s going to be a trade off of whom Fed Govt can help. If youth don’t work, pay into CPP, EI etc, there won’t be money for anyone in the future.
