Also, while I’m here, racist Julie Scott from PPC is also running for a council seat. Do not give these people power.

Julie Scott, former PPC candidate, is running for council. She posts vile racist rhetoric on Twitter.

A candidate running for mayor of Halifax is associated with Diagolon - an alt-right organization. The US Department of State's Bureau of Counterterrorism has called it a far-right extremist group. Do not vote for Riley Murphy. #HaliSky (ALT - tweets from LadyCalonlan showing his association)

Women can be twice as good as a man at anything, and still only get half the credit, if they get any credit at all.

Visited the picket line today when they made the announcement that they're going back to the bargaining table! Hopefully there are fair wages on the way for library workers

Reminder that Halifax Library workers are striking because the CEO, who effectively does nothing, gets paid more than the mayor, while one of the meagre demands from the workers who are increasingly put in dangerous situations is a living wage.

Capping property tax for 2 decades also comes at the cost of essential services, and shifts the tax burden more toward renters. Since my building doesn't qualify to be capped, taxes on the property have increased and been passed on to tenants in the form of rent increases. But enjoy your home.
