I saw a liberal whose banner on here had "GOP" with a swastika saying she applauded Harris' decision to invited Republicans into her cabinet because this was the healing we needed as a country. Liberals looking at fash saying "we need to defeat them and invite them in" is historically consistent.
We can't actually *stop* the party we constantly scream is an existential threat, that would be authoritarian! We trip all over ourselves to cater to them and that's how you know we're the good guys :)

Like that is simply what the US did - "we need to defeat the fascists in Germany then invite them to run our administrations to defend against the left!" That's liberalism in a nutshell. This is what needs to be beamed into everyone's head. The Nazis fucking won WW2.
This reminds me of why I stopped watching Maddow. When MSNBC signed Megyn Kelly and Greta Van Susteran, Rachel implored her audience to give them a chance bc after all they were in the same business as she was.
The liberals are evolving the "return to brunch" ethos. They want to go back to a time where politics was 'more reasonable' but instead of pushing the Overton window left, they just applaud center right coalition building.
