Like honestly between the state of tradpub SFF and especially YA, which is the market I was trying to break into at the time, and the bizarre social media culture of booktok and goodreads etc, like I’m a little offended no one picked me up but boy do I feel like a dodged a bullet or several

And I’m not trying to honk my own horn here, I’m not like, the greatest writer ever or anything. But I’m decent! I’ve read many many books better than mine, but I’ve read a few worse ones, too. I used to wonder how they got published I didn’t. So it’s weird sometimes to be glad I didn’t lol
