Nintendo says that matchmaking times may become longer at certain times of the day. In addition, since top players will only be able to match with each other, it will be harder for them to win, and therefore reaching abnormally high X Powers will become more difficult.

Insane that they made X rank a better experience for max 8000 players with a change before making X rank not a slog for every single charger player

wasn't that already a thing ? Like all the way back in 6.0.0 ? Did they ever turn that feature on ? And so are they turning it on NOW ? Or is it something else that I'm confused about ?
