Hey so if you’re in a salaried and exempt position and your c-suite suddenly says “hey, you fucks all have to work 45 weeks because reasons” what sort of options does a person have? (Literally asking for a friend, please do not worry about me.)
Sadly, there aren't a lot of options. Ask a Manager has had a bunch of questions about salaried/exempt stuff, but none of it looks promising: www.askamanager.org/search-resul...
*45 HOUR weeks.
It really does depend. Do they have to take PTO if they need time off for a doctor's appointment? Or can they just adjust their work schedule? How flexible is that 45 hours?
Sadly, under US law, the two options are quit or find ways to seem like you're working when you're not.
Make sure you're actually exempt under the law and not misclassified, engage in collective action, or quit.
