Thanks for responding. Yeah I imagine the US -if we ever get there- would do something similar to that, favoring to keep some private stuff as an option. But I'm thinking that a lot of them wouldn't *need* to operate these hospitals if the government is stepping in instead. But I'm just assuming

Yeah a more nationalised healthcare system pretty much removes the need for a lot of independent hospitals Where I live now it's also universal but structured different. It's a public insurance so based on income rather than health conditions.
