Feels like a good day to remind everyone that JD Vance was a no-show on the vote for my bill to expand the child tax credit when it was on the senate floor two weeks ago. My bill failed after Republicans blocked it, leaving 16 million kids worse off.
Asking for advice from folks active in labor organizing. Employees at Portland OR Fred Meyer stores are on strike. I do not live in Portland. Should I continue to shop at Fred Meyer or should I shop at a different chain until Portland Fred Meyer workers have a contract?

If I may be sentimental and nigh-patriotic for just today, this Harris/Walz ticket looks like America to me. A smart, high-achieving Black woman with intersectional identities and a loving but fiery Midwestern dad who uses his power to take care of everyone he possibly can.
