It's real. It was a lobster called Santa (xmas gift) & after it died I kept it frozen while the ship was built. It was autumn 1999. She was launched at the East end of Thamesmead where the flood wall has a gap. The music was the looped intro to Sanctuary by FFB. After we ate peas - Santa's favourite

I used to 'rescue' fair goldfish every year by winning them. They would go into a tank and die within a week, when I would freeze them in ice before taking them en mass down to the nearest river to a spot still known by our family as goldfish point and let them float away down stream.
