Underplaying the risk helps foreign propagandists—but so does exaggerating it.

That might sound a bit strange coming from someone who teaches a whole course on this and has dedicated a good portion of her career to disrupting and countering influence operations. But precisely bc of this experience, I know that exaggerating the threat often only serves to help our adversaries.
