taking someone through your journey to clarity may well be more helpful than simply presenting them with a clear view (if they, too, are starting where you started), and isn't at all the same as making it as hard for them to follow as it was for you to figure out—that's just bad writing

One my doc writing seminar comments was about using “too many nouns” to say the same thing and it was wounding. I needed all those nouns to come to clarity, you guys.
I thought it was about the journey, not the destination
