What about (I’m starting w/ a “what about”😳) defiant pessimism? T/belief things are ultimately shit in t/world but I have an obligation to try to slow down the awful & inevitable? There’s a glimmer of agency & limited sense of optimism one can make minor differences. But a systems level pessimism

Agreed. When I was writing for my class about Socrates, I was thinking the question is where the tension lies between theory and practice. Not “there’s a tension between thinking and acting and we’re all doomed.” You locate the tension, you locate how to build power
Yes!!! I’ve been so frustrated with activist groups and recently started working with a church group even though I’m not religious, and I am so impressed and inspired by how they roll up their sleeves and actually get shit done instead of arguing over who’s a better Marxist, lol
