Made some progress on the Explorer Corps' heavy rover in today's LEGO livestream. The previous iteration was looking too sleek; this faction should be more utilitarian in their vehicle designs. Still some work to be done on this one but much happier with it now.

Slight change of pace today; someone asked me about making LEGO instructions so let's look at what goes into that using one of my Wayfarer ships as an example. www.twitch.tv/onlunarseas

As I get close to ordering my LEGO drones, I wanted to see what they'd look like with some parts in white. The result is okay when paired with a dark armor color, but too low-contrast with bright colors like lime, or even red. Not really worth it, especially as I'd still need some parts in black.

Don't think it's too long; proportions are good and there's a good rhythm to all the sections. I can't see an area that I'd say should be trimmed down. Great work!

This weird core is the best yet for my LEGO drone. Shoulders are stable, waist is... fairly secure, and it retains the styling on the back, including the clip. Tested it out in brick already; I hesitate to call it final given the frequent revisions, but I might soon be able to order a few of these.

Today's LEGO livestream yielded this adorable lunar rover with two seated crew. In Mobile Frame Zero this counts as a two-system frame, with double sensor/comms reflecting the explorer faction's focus on scientific observation, though next up will be two larger, combat-capable vehicles.

Gonna start on something a bit different today at www.twitch.tv/onlunarseas, sticking with the explorer faction but adding 7p-scale LEGO ground vehicles for use with Mobile Frame Zero: Rapid Attack. Starting now!

I think I've done it! Switching the center LEGO brick to one of those "engine" parts (4595) gave me a two-stud connection, keeping the jumper plates from rotating along with the shoulders. The back isn't as nice, and I might have to lose the secondary weapon, but that's worth the added stability.

Spent most of the stream trying to redevelop the shoulder joint on my LEGO drones. Unfortunately the most promising solution (a roller skate to block unwanted rotation from within the jumper plates) won't work; Studio doesn't register a collision but the skates don't fit. Back to the drawing board.

Late start but I'm streaming now, wrapping up my explorer spaceships and going back to my drones with some new ideas. www.twitch.tv/onlunarseas
