While I have not done the calculations myself, I am assuming it is happening. I am driving 11 hours to go see which cloud is going to mess with me.

Follow up: I went to Cape Girardeau, and morning clouds gave way to afternoon sun, and we had a beautiful eclipse. 1200 mile drive was so worth it.
