I could do more personal stuff, but i like to use my free time to play games and chat with friends, but since commissions are my only option, that free time stays at a margin. If i dont get paid enough each month for me to use more of my free time, there wont be more personal art

That's why I tend to leave my SFW account unattended, because A. Nobody cares about it and B. I can't use it for comms because it doesnt have pamps on it. And even with my Ko-fi available in there, can't get it to get anyone to donate, even if i could make the best pics ever.

Of course. It is ultimately up to you to find the right balance of these things in your life, and you know best how to arrange them. It seemed like you had a yearning to make some personal art but if you can't make time to do it without sacrificing something you value more, there's no point?
