How come people who are in their 20s can’t seem to close the lid on a toilet?

I *always* close the lid you think I need toilet ghosts floating around my house absolutely not

There's a surprising amount of them that won't flush them because the handle is unsanitary. Despite washing their hands after, if they even do. Disgusting.

This is neither here nor there, but In my early 20’s I had a friend who would wake up in the middle of the night, still drunk, to take a piss and if the lid was closed, he would sleep walk into your closet and piss on your shoes.

The lid? Doesn't lid down mean something bad happened there?
