At first I thought it was basically a standing agreement to not be very negative on here for fear of harshing the vibe, but after a few days it feels like it's really about not treating this space as a discursive battleground for ascertaining "truth" or adjudicating disputes via mass opinion.

Think that's smart; "don't shit where you eat" is a reasonable lesson to take from twitters failure, and it does take the edge off of the interactions here. There seems to be a lot more "show and tell" stuff here though I can't tell if that's the general vibe or just a product of the new user surge
