And yes, as a parent this is the biggest "duh" result (as I'm sure some of the authors of this paper will tell you). But that's why you do research, so we have evidence to support this intuition.

Yes, but then we can talk about our benefits and generate new hypotheses. I'm not poor and having my kid in a pre-k at a school was great, but making it cost half as much and/or having it be a school pre-k would have been a game changer. I probably would have paid student loans during the pause.
