I think it's a done deal that if someone were to ask me whether to read or watch Uzumaki I'd tell them to read it. Even animation quality aside, the original work is certainly paced better to allow the horror to build. That said, the anime's not the worst way to kill two hours. The point is made.

Rewatching Doctor Sleep and I'm still amazed at how well Mike Flanagan pulled off an impossible sequel. I remember thinking the first trailer looked really bad but the end result is something quite special.
