Mark Milley is an incredibly experienced, decorated military officer, with degrees from top colleges. He doesn't say "fascist" lightly. He worked with Trump up close as Chair of the Joint Chiefs. He saw it. What else is there left to say? Either you want it—or are at least OK with it—or you don't.

Saw where an influencer offered up $70k to anyone who would t evacuate and instead livestream Hurricane Milton hitting them. At least one took him up on it and he’s got an umbrella, an air mattress and some ramen to eat. That’s it. I don’t think sci/fi ever came up with something so dystopian.

NEW: Justice Sam Alito tried out several analogies in opposing the ATF’s “ghost gun” rule, but he was more or less left to do so alone on Tuesday. After 75 minutes of arguments, the rule appears to be safe. Here’s my Law Dork report from SCOTUS: www.lawdork.com/p/atf-ghost-...

Solicitor General Prelogar summed it up: "They were sold to be crime guns." Also: Law Dork in the news

At least 13,395 people have been killed by law enforcement officers in the past 10 years nationally, according to one nonprofit that tracks data. The organization Mapping Police Violence says that means about 7% of homicides between 2013 and last year can be attributed to law enforcement.
