The aftermath of a PhD... Over the last few months, as I was going through the whole thesis, everything piled up on my desk at the university. Been bringing it all back to my room to organise. Decided to create a catalogue of all the articles, books and primary sources I have now amassed.
What’s the logic behind a postdoc that you can only apply for if you already finished the PhD by the time you apply? It will skew applicants towards those that were rejected for other postdocs. If you want candidates who already did a postdoc, just say that.
What do you do if you want to do another PhD? Asking for a friend.
Not going to lie doing this PhD has given a hefty dose of respect for peeps who code pretty figures in R.
I’ve done 17 interviews now for my PhD which is exciting until I think about how many autogenerated transcripts need correcting. Important work for getting that initial feel of the data though!
I just become more aware day by day of the huge lie and disappointment that is my PhD supervisor. I started it thinking it was a really good choice of a researcher but they are just a scam.
