My Japanese wife always says word of mouse. Which I greatly prefer.

One of my cousins is married to a Thai lady who says 'oh my gooseness' instead of oh my goodness and frankly, I prefer it, too :)

If you think about it, it seems very similar to a related expression "A little bird told me".
