No worries! I'm sorry you were diagnosed, that sucks :< At least T2 is a lil bit less of a hassle to manage, having to do constant insulin shots or wear an insulin pump around isn't fun so I'm very glad ya don't have to do that :>

Heya, type 1 diabetic here! Both type 1 and type 2 have strong genetic links, neither one is "genetic diabetes." If it has developed slowly/been suspected for a long time and it doesn't immediately require multiple daily shots of both long and short acting insulin then that's type 2, not type 1 :>

That'd be type 2 then, type 1 will *always* require insulin immediately because it's an autoimmune disease (body completely destroys the pancreas). T1 develops super quick, you go from 100% fine to horrifically sick in a matter of weeks. T2 develops slower :> (I'm actually a type 1 diabetic myself)
