So my attempt to leave twitter has resulted in me hoping threads and blue sky and am now flitting between the two. No idea which will fly the fastest. It’s like Betamax vs VHS all over again for those old enough 😂

I'm trying to put my hope on here (there's even Mastodon still around), because I don't have energy to monitor them all and find free software to help monitor feeds is seeming impossible
I’m hoping it’s not like VHS vs Beta — that was “a relatively average, cheap-ass solution that won over because the porn industry threw itself behind it (because ‘cheap’)” vs “a decent quality standard that didn’t win the war because it was too expensive, and the lowest common denominator wins”.

Have you heard that the new public policy director for Meta is a co-author of Project 25, the GOP plan for fascism? Personally, I want nothing more to do with FB,Insta or threads.
