Stefan O’Heck, better known as the “candy bandit” became a folk hero after a string of highly publicized heists. He was killed during a shootout with US Marshalls in 1909. From his hideout, Marshalls seized over 500 licorice sticks, 1700 gumdrops, and Governor Jessup Farrar’s prized giant lollipop.

I happened to see a rough cut of an upcoming film which: 1) was hauntingly beautiful, at times tender and passionate, at others quietly devastating (and also loudly devastating), a genuine contender for Best Picture in my opinion 2) has a main character who looks exactly like Stefan
