Churches are absolutely allowed to preach anything they want, if they're willing to pay taxes. First Amendment restrictions are part of a tax benefit that they choose to take advantage of.

A low turnout primary in which not a lot of people knew how to run an effective ranked choice ballot campaign got him elected. The funny part to me is that he was always corrupt. As mayor, he had access to way more opportunities for bigger corruption but didn't change his methods for concealment.
