Iā€™m taking over running P&T in our department, and this an endless problem for us. Research is technically supposed to be considered only 35% of our workload for tenure, but then we ask for external reviews from places with much higher expectations.

haha, no worries, but yes, there's a lot of different narratives to explain the 20th century, many of which ignore what composers and audiences were actually doing! (Watching Boheme over and over again.)
