Graduating this summer, excited to be counted!!
A big issue is pay— for salaried members with sick days its ok, but hourly without paid sick days.. rough sell to say “you wont get paid for a week if you test positive”. Now of course the solution is paid sick days but if thats not in the contract then :/
Here’s the deal: We stop shaming the poor for buying things that may not be essential, and start shaming the rich for making a profit off things that are essential.
I used to believe that mass communication would stop atrocities. That if enough of the world could see what was going on, the worst things could never happen at scale. I no longer believe that. All that has changed is that none of us have any right to say we didn't know.

It’s important to push back on the entire framework wherein individual academic programs are evaluated based on cash flow. Universities are *nonprofits* and the goal is to provide excellence in an educational and research ecosystem. This means some subunits *should* subsidize others.
Man I wonder if anyone anywhere could just fill this site with fake reports and make it unusable.
