“statistically speaking” was that intentional or unintentional humor?
I think this is the only likely scale I will accept going forward.
This is a great tribute to a music hero of mine, Steve Albini. The article calls him “the model of a gracefully aging Gen Xer holding fast to his principles.” He would have something appropriately cutting to say about that. His death at 61 is a loss. slate.com/culture/2024...
The legendary producer, dead at 61, was more than just a rigid minimalist.
Interesting question & not one necessarily solved by searching current legal journalists. Thoughts @dahlialithwick.bsky.social? I’d ask Lisa Tucker, law prof who’s written kids books about SC justices, but she’s not on here.
The enshittification of substack is proceeding at a rapid pace. I’m a paid subscriber on one account. Free on many. Offered me a free view of one post. I downloaded the app. Gave it my phone. Entered multiple codes. But still blocked from the full post.

Milan is in the middle of an extreme air quality crisis & the public bike sharing has shut down for a week for “review” of its bicycles. My head is about to explode from outrage.
More interesting follow up, building on the "enshittifation" thesis of Cory Doctorow.
