It's interesting to look at the latest big tech schemes: metaverse, nfts, genAI, etc, as scams aimed entirely at corporations. Not really the people those corporations are composed of.
Like the galactic star cruiser, it is very obvious that the marketing isn't really directed at the customer but the corporation's own CEO and shareholders. But, the CEO is just the meat avatar of the inhuman, amoral, cancerous intelligence of the corporation.
What's more annoying is that there is no such thing as endless growth, all cancers that continue to grow bleed off so many resources they destroy the organism they are attached to, same with corporations
Money's so concentrated at the top these days that the real money is in selling the VC class on various scams.
I still have a feeling that when this crashes down it will mostly land on little people
