Every time someone says they used chatgpt to find some info, they're actually telling you that they have never been punched hard in the face.
This might be a new career avenue. Punching AI fanboys. Okay -maybe a club?

I'm a copywriter and I discovered yesterday that my editor has just been plugging my copy into ChatGPT and letting it "fact check". Explains a lot.
I’m curious if you’ve tried Perplexity - it uses ChatGPT but with web search and citations It is not always right but at least when it’s wrong, you can click the citations and figure out the right answer

I used Chatgpt to learn Blender. It was super helpful when the data was not super out of date and/or incorrect! It showed me the text conversation is one of my best methods for learning which is super unfortunate all things considered.
I had ChatGPT run me through a patient care scenario for medic practice. I’m 100% sure it just repeated back what I said as a “right answer!” plus some info it scraped online. Fun but not helpful — it offered zero points of improvement. Haven’t used it much, and that’s why.
Or they are a manager. (Don't ask.)
