Lashing out at strangers may feel cathartic but it isn't organizing.

a lot of times it's not even cathartic, either. It just makes you mad, and then you tell other people why you're mad and they get mad. But nothing gets done from that because it's not the kind of mad that inspires people to help, it's the kind that inspires contempt.

I’m doing my best to get people registered to vote. I don’t bring up who they should vote for, just that they should register. I set up a computer in another room at my store just so people can do it without pressure about how they register. But my personal YouTube algorithm is very political.

While my guilty conscience doesn’t disagree, it did want to point out we aren’t all working with a well-regulated nervous system. Sometimes shaking people until their teeth rattle is just the cost of doing business.
