Has anyone pointed out yet that Rep Allen is misquoting Genesis 12:3? Even in the KJV (that these dudes fetishize as “authentic”) it doesn’t say Israel at all! (The verse is on the blessings due to Abram and his family)
To be fair to Rep Allen, he follows Trump and is more into The Art of The Deal. Perhaps a vague memory of Jesus as a child.
His family WHICH INCLUDES ARABS!
They had us read the Bible (as literature) at Columbia
There was no state of Israel in the Book of Genesis.
I'm pretty sure that claiming you know the will of the Divine to this extent qualifies as blasphemy.
found Quora answer saying ppl interpret it as referring to “Israel” as in descendants of Israel etc. Rep Allen prob misinterpreted from listening to Ralph Drollinger, the Trump Admin Bible teacher who’s been implying it refers to modern nation-state of Israel www.businessinsider.com/ralph-drolli...
That quote was 25 years before Issac was born, wasn’t it. I think at this point, if he’s going there, it would mean every descendant of Abraham. Which includes a lot of people the Representative does not likely mean to show kindness to. Wow. What a catch to notice that.
Who will prep witnesses in a Congressional hearing and tell them that they you could simply fact check the McCarthyists on the dais by asking them constantly: what evidence do you have for your claims/allegations/nonsensical suppositions?
When you use the Bible to beat someone, subtlety or even truth isn't part of the plan.
Has anyone pointed out that Rick Allen is also Def Leppard’s drummer?
