I feel this, even in Portland, Ore. I've had to plan for this twice: once during Aug. 2020 fires, and January of this year during a severe ice storm. It didn't happen either time, but the anxiety is gets worse each year, both in winter -and- summer. Hope your elderly cat is OK with the hotel.
