And @ames.world lives by the wrong bit of sea - they are almost all on the east coast of Scotland, if I remember right (which I may not do, it was a long time ago that they were my slightly bizarre specialist subject)

Share fishermen, almost uniquely, were self employed but could claim unemployment benefits. That was a sweet deal, so others wanted in - which long ago led to my becoming oddly expert in the working practices of behind the camera workers...
