Yesterday, Trump raised the prospect of deploying the military against his political opponents. Extraordinary by any historical measure. Here are the front pages of 8 of the leading newspapers in the US the morning after. Nothing. Zero. Zip. Democracy dies in silence.

Why is it so jarring? Normalizing that pig and his racism has been the norm for years now.

I think we underestimate the lack of outrage by the public. The fact that 90% of Americans aren't rejecting trump is the real problem.

This is funny to me because all I see are comments about what people consider, in your terms, “… his more violent and disturbing comments”, and not nearly enough about his very practicable strategies or praiseworthy stances that make him a great candidate for office.
