A homeless person now dies every six hours in Britain, up 40% over the last 12 months. They are shocking statistics but they arenât numbers they are people just like you and me. This is Stephen who died homeless aged only 39. No responsible govt would allow this to continue.
It is absolutely incredible that DWP moved from counting 'individuals in receipt of ESA' to 'adults-in-families-where-anyone-is-receiving-UC-health' as its currency for counting people on incapacity-type benefits, leaving even the OBR unable to measure trends in receipt.
