I just had the exact opposite conversation with someone and I somehow agree with both perspectives

I just feel like sports gambling and fantasy sports make sports about *oneself* rather than the game or the athletes. obvi lots of sports-knowledgable people take part in fantasy leagues, but imo it just diminishes what makes sports and athletes so great
