Most American butters are genuinely terrible. When I first moved there, the best I could get was Amish butter. I literally celebrated when Kerrygold came to Wisconsin. Ironic, given it's the dairy state. However, the best butter on the planet is Shirgar, from west Wales. It is superior in all ways.
