Unless you live in a swing state, it is 100% a cheerlead for her. And no matter where you live, it is a vote for continuation of the most well-documented genocide in history. If the future of our country depends on that continuation then our country deserves no future.

Honestly I wouldn’t be caught dead voting for Harris. Her support for crypto is a problem, you’re right, but her gleeful material support for genocide in Gaza should be a problem for any person with a conscience.

The situation we are now in requires much more of those in power than their dissent, respectful or otherwise. If the Biden administration remains unwilling to act to stop what’s coming, they will be as complicit as the republicans.

If they do anything to block project 2025 now, the “only your vote can save democracy this November” messaging won’t work. If they start talking about it now, people might pressure them to block it. And they are putting 100% of their eggs in the “most important election of your lifetime” basket.

It should be obvious to every observer of the US political & media landscape that the Democrats are simply keeping Project 2025 quiet so they don’t have to do anything about it while there’s time. They’re saving it for ~4-6 months from now because it has massive value as blackmail to their voters.

Thank you for the thread Peter. I agree with much of it, and as I’ve pointed out before, this fear instilled in voters is the most important part of the Democrats’ platform. Protecting our rights, for example by codifying Roe, would mean that they cannot hold our votes hostage anymore.
