Day 01: Veilguard I decided to join the #Veiltober#dragonage#dragonagetheveilguard#datv#dav#dave#art
It is also never funny or clever to say “I’m so OCD”, “the weather is bipolar”, “you’re so spastic”, etc- especially if these are not identities that belong to you. There are better, much funnier ways to get at being organized, the weather being mercurial, etc. When in doubt: ncdj.org/style-guide/
Of all the things we librarians have to deal with these days... book challenges, limited budgets, now Scalzis skulking around our stacks...
People don't realize how hard it is as a high-risk person to be stuck at home basically non-stop for years, have to beg folks to mask up so they don't harm us & see that that still isn't enough to protect us all. It's been nearly 5 years of this. Masks should be mandatory in healthcare facilities.
My favorite interview I definitely wasn't important enough to get was a freshman college psych assignment to interview a psychologist/iatrist and I didn't want to do it in person/on the phone, so I emailed Elisabeth Kübler-Ross and actually got a response. My professor's mind was BLOWN
Take it from someone who has done things like this multiple times despite being a nobody (thanks for the lack of awareness, autism!) mostly people will be cool with answering a few questions because they like talking about what they do.
idk who needs to hear this but if you've ever wanted to, for example, start a blog where you interview indie game devs but are worried that you don't have enough clout or connections or whatever to get them to agree to be on your site, my advice to you is to just go ahead and e-mail them anyway
