Not going to argue these products are addictive, but there's one thing all types of addicts suffer from. A sort of life dysphoria, i.e. real life sucks so bad that they become addicted as a form of escape. Maybe children should be suing the American empire instead.

Very good point! For me, the private car is clearly part of the division in our society. In the car, we never accidentally meet people who don't correspond to the reality of our lives. This happens quite naturally on the bus, on the train or when cycling. And: kids would be nice leaders ;)
