Jacob Rees-Mogg is currently urging Conservative conference not to "surrender to lefty language" and insist on referring to presiding authority as a chairMAN and not a chair.
Glad to see he's got his priorities right. 🤣
Oh, I’m so glad we’re rid of that bellend
Forty years or more ago I coined an androgynous pronoun for a game I wrote and ran online in chat rooms: "Nem" because a lot of times it shouldn't matter what gender a person is. I happened to be president of my art guild then & also writing the guild newsletter, I changed titles to "chairnem".
And I shall stop referring to people like Mogg as conts and instead use cloacae.
Sorry but who is Jacob Rees Mogg? Seems like being elected no longer matters in the new social media Conservative Party. The conference carries on the right wing discourse as if nothing important happened in July. It’s a bit like Trump - although he at least pretended that he won.
From now on, we should adopt this for all events that occur in the nineteenth century. From now on, we should adopt this for all events that occur in the nineteenth century.
There is something so desperately pathetic and even sad in what is going on at the Tory party conference. It's like someone in the last throes of dementia before death finally takes them.
Are they still in the 'What went wrong?' session asking for examples from ex MPs that lost their seats?
A concern central to resolving pressing issues.🤣
The OED gives "chair" in the sense of "a person appointed to preside over a meeting" as dating from 1644, so this is about 200 years more ridiculous than his usual reference point
