Ah so cohost being closed is a legit thing I heard. Thats kinda sad. Idk why anyone calls these sites dead when most of them feel more alive than places like Twitter and Instagram which just feels like a bot pool. :T

people just don't know how to find activity without having a list of recommendations being shoved at you. Like I find stuff all the time on these 'dead' services, my feed is always active so clearly it's the user not putting in enough work to Look in the first place.
