The block isn't about seeing people that have blocked you, it's about shoving ads to people who blocked advertisers. They're desperate for revenue.

It's odd, finding out how many people online who claim to have strong political values actually only gravitate to certain friend groups and cliques. You'd imagine that if you want a friend group you'd go looking for a D&D group or go backpacking, but nope. Gotta simp for [ideology] or something.
Hm! My guess is that redistributive politics eventually became tied to other movements that weren't socially conservative/racist. Many types of unionists and progressives in the US started to position themselves very openly against Christianity too, which might've created a very deep impasse.
