Day two in Dublin, and a highlight was visiting Trinity College and seeing the Book of Kells plus the gorgeous Long Room.
7.5 hours of sleep. Very welcome sleep, especially after fewer than 2 hours the night before when I was flying over. I don’t want to get up, darn it, but there is a lot for our tour to see and do today. Monochrome Monday morning hitting me hard.
So… I made it to Dublin! And it was kind of damp and grey. Which, to be honest, is not outside the bounds of what I had expected.
Just heard from a friend that she got Oasis tickets for Toronto, including one for me. The 90s Britpop Queen in me is squealing inside!
I’m off to Ireland, the husband is off to Michigan. Wishing he were traveling with me but hoping his trip goes well without me.
Getting to LAX early on a Saturday morning is a different and easier experience than the same thing at the same time on a week morning. Nice to feel relaxed instead of harried at the start of a trip.
Small break while catching up post vacation. And now I fly to Ireland tomorrow. Sigh. I do it to myself.
Ah, jet lag, thou art a bitch.
