The idea that maturity means accepting that things can't get better just isn't working any more. Sorry.
The context here really seems to be that some things *have* gotten better, and some folks are making The Perfect (so to speak) the Enemy of the Good
wait, this is completely backwards, isn't it if you believe in the need for the revolution, isn't that a belief that it's necessary because things can't possibly get better otherwise? likewise, if you believe in incrementalism, doesn't that definitionally mean you think things will get better?
